Project “Azersu” OJSC - “Management of underground infrastructure - AzersuCIS” won another international award. The project was nominated in the "Water Resources Management" category of the "Geospatial World Awards of Excellence 2013" held in the Kingdom of the Netherlands on 13-16 May. Projects from more than 80 countries were presented at the forum.
S. Ganili, Head of ICT Department, said about the project: “AzersuCIS is a system designed for geographic inventory, network analysis and modeling of drinking water, wastewater and stormwater systems. Once the system is commissioned, he/she will be able to evaluate design solutions and assess the current status of logging, water supply and sewer systems, and network accidents. At the same time, the system will enable us to centrally manage drinking water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructures, as well as construction and workspaces. ”
After the presentation, the jury evaluated the projects. During the evaluation, the design of the projects, the area covered by the projects, innovations and benefits were taken into consideration.
On April 13-14, 2012, AzersuGIS also won an Inspired Award from Bentley Systems among 270 projects in the “Innovation in Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Networks” category. In addition, AzersuGIS was recognized as the "Engineering Project of the Year" in Azerbaijan.
