A world first from “Azərsu” ASC

“AzərsuCİS” Layihəsi Beynəlxalq layihə müsabiqəsində qalib gəldi. [13-14.11.2012]

The Azersu Geographical Information System (AzersuGIS) project won the "Bentley International Project Competition (Be Inspired Awards)" held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, between November 13-14, 2012. In the event held every year and recognized as the most extensive and prestigious competition in the world in this field, the "Innovations in Infrastructure Management Conference" was organized along with the award program.

The purpose of the international Bentley (Be Inspired 2012) awards is to select projects and programs that bring innovation in design, engineering, construction, management and project management in the world, as well as to encourage institutions and organizations that continuously do unconventional work in the field of infrastructure management in the world. All users who developed projects in the fields of underground and surface infrastructure participated in this competition. Each of the winning projects is selected according to its profile by the members of the independent jury, which is limited in number and consists of selected specialists.

​"Management of underground infrastructure of Azerbaijan - AzersuGIS" project presented by "Azersu" OJSC in the category "Innovations in the management of drinking water, waste water and rainwater" in the competition in which more than 270 international projects participated, Gannett Fleming, Inc. (USA) , presented by - “Innovative Model, Information Integration milestones” project and NJS Engineers India Pvt. Ltd. company (India) - "JICA Supported Agra water supply project" and entered the final evaluation. At the end of the evaluation, the project presented by "Azersu" OJSC was awarded the highest award.


Amsterdam NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky’de keçirilən mükafatlandırma tədbirindən əvvəl 13-14 noyabrda finalçı layihələrin son təqdimatları oldu. “Azərsu” ASC-ni təmsil edən AzərsuCİS layihəsi Samir Qənili tərəfindən təqdim olundu. Sistem dizaynı, layihənin böyüklüyü, layihənin konkret faydaları, gətirilən yeniliklər, orijinal fayda, proqramların effektiv istifadəsi və s. kriteriyalar nəzərə alınmaqla aparılan son qiymətləndirmələrdən sonra hər kateqoriyada birinci olan layihələr elan olundu. “İçməli su, çirkab suyu və yağış sularının idarə olunmasında yeniliklər” kateqoriyasında “Azərsu” ASC-nin təqdim etdiyi “Azərbaycan yeraltı infrastrukturunun idarə olunması-AzərsuCİS” layihəsi jürinin böyük marağını qazanaraq qalib gəldi.

​The final presentations of the finalist projects took place on November 13-14 before the award ceremony held at the Amsterdam NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. AzersuGIS project was presented by Samir Ganili, representing "Azersu" OJSC. System design, project size, specific benefits of the project, innovations introduced, original benefits, effective use of programs, etc. After the final evaluations taking into account the criteria, the first projects in each category were announced. In the category of "Innovations in the management of drinking water, waste water and rainwater", the project "Management of underground infrastructure of Azerbaijan - AzersuGIS" presented by "Azersu" OJSC won the great interest of the jury.

​"Azersu" OJSC attaches great importance to the representation of its activities in the international arena. In these events, in addition to evaluating its activity, the company is gaining significant experience in bringing new world technologies to our country, its use and benefits.

​The victory of the AzersuGIS project in this competition, which is one of the largest events in the world in its field, which was held in the Netherlands, led to international recognition of Azerbaijan and Azersu. The results of the competition were announced to important media companies of America, Europe and other countries. In addition, books reflecting the contents of the winning projects will be distributed to 150,000 representatives of the Infrastructure sector.

​This competition was also important in terms of showing that Azerbaijan has come a long way in the field of information technologies.
